How to crochet cute bookmark (3 designs) | bow bookmark, strawberry bookmark, sakura bookmark
Welcome! This written pattern is to accompany my Youtube tutorial! This pattern is perfect for beginners and I would recommend that you watch the tutorial while keeping this pattern open so that you understand it better. Have fun and happy crocheting!

‣ This pattern uses US terminology.
‣ Number of stitches indicated between <xx>
‣ Weave in any excess yarn
✿ Materials I used
1. 4 ply yarn
3. 4.0 mm crochet hook
3. Darning needle
4. Scissors
5. Stitch marker
6. Stuffing
7. Optional: glue. You can just sew on the piece if you don’t have any glue.

Ch: Chain
St(s): Stitches
Sc: Single crochet
Inc: Increase
Sl st: Slip stitch
✿ Bookmark patterns ✿
i) Bow bookmark
Main body
Round 1: Ch 6. Start in the 2nd ch, 5sc
Round 2 - 34: Ch 1, turn your work. 5sc
Fasten off.
Ruffels
Round 1: Start in the second row, ch 1 with you new color. (5hdc in the same st, sl st) x 3, (skip, 5hdc in the same st, skip, sl st) x 8 , (5 hdc in the same st, sl st) x 3, (skip, 5hdc in the same st, skip, sl st) x 8
Fasten off.
ii) Strawberry bookmark
Leaf bookmark
Round 1: Ch 6, start in the 2nd st. 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, ch 1, work on the other side of the ch. 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, sl st. Then, ch how long you want your bookmark to be. I recommend you ch while comparing it to your books and make sure the leaf is popping out at the bottom of your books.
Strawberry
Round 1: In a magic ring, make 5sc
Round 2: Inc x 5 <10>
Round 3-5: Insert 1sc in each st <10>
Insert the chains here. From the bottom insert the chains with a darning needle. Then, tie the end together (chains and leaf excess yarn).
Round 6: (Dec) x 5 <5>
Strawberry leaf
Round 1: Ch 3, 2 sl st, (ch 2, 2sl st) x 4
Fasten off. Then sew / glue the leaf on top the strawberry.
iii) Sakura bookmark

Round 1: Ch 6, start in the 2nd st. 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, ch 1, work on the other side of the ch. 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, sl st. Then, ch how long you want your bookmark to be. I recommend you ch while comparing it to your books and make sure the leaf is popping out at the bottom of your books.
Sakura
Round 1: Make a magic ring. Continue making (ch 3, 1dc, ch 3, sl st) x 5. Don’t close the magic ring yet and continue with round 2.
Round 2: Ch 3, in the dc stitch insert (1sc, ch 2, 1sc), ch 3 and sl st into the magic ring. Make sure when you make the sl st it is at the middle of the petal. Continue this step for 5 times.
Fasten off.
Next, using a different yarn color sew the middle. Once you’re done, sew the leaf bookmark at the back of the sakura.
